The Building Code of Australia (BCA) references many Australian Standards for the design and installation of building elements, with building regulators nominating either Installation Standards or Maintenance Standards as the reference for the maintenance of essential safety measures.
In the BCA, essential safety measures are listed as "Safety Measures" and the following table lists all the Safety Measures and BCA Clause References applicable to building elements. Beside each of the Safety Measures listed, is the Australian Standard that can affect the ongoing maintenance of the Safety Measure.
